F87 M2 — How Far Can We Push It.

It was time for the F87 M2 to do some more laps at Circuit Zandvoort, and this time we weren't there to take it easy. With an ambient temperature of 33°C, it was the perfect setting to push the car and its components to their absolute limit. On this test we also brought the new version of the Aerodisc to see whether it could handle the heat, and bolted on the new AST 5100 coilover set to find out exactly how much performance we'd unlocked.
01 — THE BRIEFFind the limit, on the hottest day we could get
A 33°C track day isn't comfortable, and that's exactly why we wanted it. Heat is what finds the weak points: it's hardest on brakes, on cooling, and on any aero part that traps air it shouldn't. If the car and our latest parts could hold together on a day like this, they'd hold together anywhere. So we loaded up the M2 with the new AST 5100 coilovers and the latest Aerodisc, and went looking for the edge.
02 — GRIP & POWERThe car performed amazing
Overall, the car was superb. The grip was incredible and the power stayed consistent lap after lap, with no heat-soak drop-off that you'd normally expect on a day this warm. The new AST 5100 coilovers transformed how planted the car feels, where you'd previously be managing the chassis through fast corners, now you can simply commit and lean on it.

03 — BRAKES & COOLINGHolding up on pads alone
The brakes were a standout. They held up really well all day, and notably, on nothing more than an upgraded pad. The reason they coped so well in the heat is our Racing Brake Cooling kit, which feeds a constant stream of fresh air directly onto the rotors to pull temperature out of them on a hot day. No fade, no long-pedal moments, just consistent stopping power session after session.
04 — AERODISC v2What the heat taught us
This is where the test earned its keep. The new Aerodisc revealed a real lesson: we still need to work on the mounting system to make it better suited to the heat. As it stands we mounted the disc too close to the wheel, which trapped too much hot air behind it, exactly the kind of issue you only find by running a part hard on a 33°C day, not on a spreadsheet.
That's not a setback, it's the whole point of testing. We now know precisely what to change, and luckily we'll be back at Zandvoort in three weeks to prove the fix.
05 — WHAT'S NEXTBack in three weeks
So the verdict: incredible grip, consistent power, brakes that shrug off the heat, and a clear, specific to-do on the Aerodisc mounting. That's a good day's testing. We'll be back at Zandvoort in three weeks with revised Aerodiscs to validate the fix, and a brand-new part to put through its paces: a chassis-mounted splitter. Stay tuned.
