The E36 brake cooling delete plates are intended to block off the original brake cooling openings in the front bumper. This is to prevent excessive air coming through the bumper and creating lift under the car. Also it gives for a cleaner aesthetic if you are not using the brake cooling feature.
The ducts have a high quality finish and are made out of ASA (similar to ABS but with better heat resistance). They will not discolor in sunlight and can be used naked or painted.
